Duties and Responsibilities

The Security Manager will be responsible for:-

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead, train, and manage a team of security personnel.
  • Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective measures.
  • Oversee security systems, including access control, surveillance, and alarm systems.
  • Manage and execute incident response plans effectively.
  • Collaborate with security service providers and external agencies to ensure enhanced protection.
  • Organize security awareness programs and training sessions for employees.
  • Ensure adherence to all security regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage the security budget efficiently, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising safety.
  • Provide regular security reports and updates to senior management.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect and ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Verify and check security personnel’s SIA licenses and other necessary certifications.
  • Interview and hire new security staff in accordance with BS7858 screening and vetting procedures.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols, risk assessment, and incident management.
  • Familiarity with security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations effectively.
  • Knowledge of security regulations and BS7858 screening and vetting standards.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and security software.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze security threats proactively.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field
  • Certification in Risk Management or Security Operations is an advantage.
  • First Aid, Fire Safety, or other relevant security training certifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security management, law enforcement, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing security teams and implementing security policies.
  • Hands-on experience with security systems and incident management.

Notes

  • The Security Manager should be adaptable to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights if necessary.
  • Must be willing to travel for site inspections and coordination with different locations.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity are essential for this role.
