Duties and Responsibilities
- Access Control: Manage entry and exit points, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
- Customer Service: Greet visitors professionally and provide assistance when required.
- Conflict Management: Diffuse difficult situations and handle confrontations calmly and effectively.
- Patrolling & Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of staff, customers, and property.
- Incident Handling: Respond to emergencies, report incidents, and liaise with emergency services when necessary.
- ID & Age Verification: Check identification to ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
- Search Procedures: Conduct bag and body searches when necessary, following legal and company guidelines.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, identifying hazards and reporting issues.
- Report Writing: Maintain accurate records of incidents, logbook entries, and security reports.
- Teamwork: Work alongside other security personnel and staff to maintain a secure environment.

Qualification
- SIA Door Supervisor Licence – A valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) Door Supervisor licence is mandatory.
- Previous Security Experience – Experience in security, door supervision, or a similar role is preferred but not always required.
- First Aid Certification – A valid first aid qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Basic Literacy & Numeracy Skills – Ability to read and write reports and handle simple record-keeping.
- Right to Work in the UK – Must have legal eligibility to work in the UK.
- Clear Criminal Record – Ability to pass background checks as required by UK security regulations.
Experience
- Previous Experience in Security or Door Supervision – Preferably 1+ years in a similar role (e.g., security guard, bouncer, or event security).
- Experience Handling Conflict Situations – Ability to de-escalate confrontations and manage difficult individuals professionally.
- Knowledge of Crowd Control & Access Management – Experience in managing queues, checking IDs, and controlling entry points.
- Incident Response & Reporting – Familiarity with handling security incidents, writing reports, and liaising with emergency services.
- Customer Service Experience – Experience in interacting with the public and providing assistance while maintaining authority.
